Dedicated to Lord Hanuman, it is an ancient holy site in Naimisharanya that has rich mythological significance. The theme of this temple is a mythological incident depicting the emergence of Lord Hanuman from the underworld. In this incident, after defeating Ahiravana, he was accompanied by Lord Rama and his brother, Lord Lakshmana.
One of the main attractions of this famous Hindu temple in Uttar Pradesh is the stone idol of Lord Hanuman carrying Lord Rama and Lakshmana on his shoulders. Hanuman Garhi is often known as Dakshineswar Temple because the main deity of the temple faces south. Apart from its religious importance, this temple also attracts a large number of tourists due to the peaceful aura that surrounds it.
